NETWORK |

| ISSUE | To support the designation
of nature trails in cities and counties to create a Regional Nature
Trails Network. The designated trails should include rail
corridors and trails and informal trails, some already identified. |
||
| STATUS |
Washington State
Rail-Trail Plan is presently updating a regional rail-trail map.
Other states are reportedly creating state trail maps. |
||
| WHAT TO DO |
Encourage local
governments and agencies -- city and county, state agencies, civic
groups, and environmental organizations to designate appropriate trails
as components of a comprehensive Regional Nature Trail Network. |
