ON AMTRAK |
|
|
Trains are a relative
energy-saving method of travel, are less polluting, and less hazardous
than air or highway travel. Accordingly, the Federation of
Western Outdoor
Clubs urges that Congress appropriate sufficient funds, not only to
maintain present services of AMTRAK, but to greatly expand them to meet
present and future travel needs, to save energy, lessen air pollution,
and to increase travel safety. |
