OIL, GAS AND
GEOTHERMAL LEASING |

The protection of public
lands for scenic, scientific, and cultural, or recreational values is
intended to prevent irreversible impacts resulting from conflicting
uses. The intention is to preserve rather than deplete resources. |
|
No oil, gas, or geothermal
leasing for exploration or development should be permitted on any lands
under the Wilderness Act or in the National Park System. |

The Federation of
Western Outdoor
Clubs opposes exploration for oil, gas, or geothermal resources on
Wilderness, proposed wilderness, and National Park land. |
