ADVERSE ENVIRONMENTAL INFLUENCES ADJACENT TO NATIONAL PARKS | |
|
||
|
There is great concern
that development outside of, but near, units of the National Park
System may adversely influence environmental conditions within
them. Examples of this would include geothermal drilling outside
Yellowstone National Park or mining near Zion and Bryce National
Parks. Therefore, the Federation of Western
Outdoor Clubs urges that extensive investigation and complete
environmental impact statements be written before any such development
be initiated. |
