ABANDONED LOGGING ROADS | |

|
The Abandoned logging roads on public lands cause increased vehicular traffic in the back country, and government agencies have difficulty in policing and monitoring such increased usage. Whereas increased uses often cause destructive disturbance of wildlife and habitat and undue erosion, the Federation of Western Outdoor Clubs recommends that logging roads (other than those currently established as public roads or scheduled for future use) should be closed and whenever possible, reclaimed as productive forest land. |
