ENVIRONMENTALIST PARTICIPATION IN ELECTORAL POLITICS | |
|
||
|
Major decisions for and
against environmental and natural resources protection are made daily
by local, state, and national legislators, other elected public
officials and their appointees. The election of candidates
committed to environmental protection is essential to the long-term
realization of conservation and environmental goals. Therefore,
the Federation of Western
Outdoor Clubs urges its members and those of its member clubs to
consider seriously the environmental positions of the candidates when
they cast their votes. Further, the Federation urges individuals
to support those candidates with outstanding environmental positions by
financial contributions and personal participation in their campaigns. |
