RETURNABLE BEVERAGE CONTAINER DEPOSIT PROPOSITIONS
|
||
The Federation of Western Outdoor Clubs in the past has supported legislation promoting the return and recycling of cans and bottles by placing mandatory deposits on beverage containers. Reuse and recycling of these containers will conserve energy and reduce litter and solid waste. The November ballots in the states of Arizona, California, Colorado and Washington all will include proposals to enact such returnable container deposit laws.

The Federation of Western
Outdoor Clubs urges all voters in Arizona, California, Colorado, and
Washington to take advantage of the environmental and economic benefits
of beverage container deposit laws by voting "YES" on these proposals
in November. |
