NATIONAL POPULATION
POLICY |
|
|
||
It has become increasingly
evident that the world, including this nation, faces enormous imminent
and complex problems from overpopulation in the decades immediately
ahead. |
||
Burgeoning population
including illegal immigration, coupled with increased technology,
results in conditions with which nature cannot cope. |
||
Prompt and vigorous
changes in public policy are needed to avoid or minimize these problems
before they become unmanageable. Legislation in Congress, the
Hatfield/Ottinger Bill (H.R. 2491, S 1025) proposes a study of
population policy. |

The Federation of Western
Outdoor Clubs endorses this legislation. |
