HARDESTY MOUNTAIN PROTECTION
|
|
4,273 foot Hardesty
Mountain, an outstanding recreational area in the Lowell District of
the Willamette National Forest, Oregon, comprising a mere 8,900 acres
and which narrowly missed inclusion in the recent Oregon Wilderness
Bill, justifies special environmental protection, such as primitive,
roadless and recreation management. |
Therefore be it resolved
that the Federation of Western
Outdoor Clubs urges that Hardesty Mountain in the Willamette National
Forest, Oregon, remain a primitive, roadless, recreation area. |
