The National Forest
Management Act of 1976 requires the Forest Service to place clean
water, wildlife and fish, and outdoor recreation on an equal footing
with timber cutting. However, the current Management Plan for the
Idaho Panhandle National Forest does not fulfill the requirement of
this Act. |

The Federation of Western
Outdoor Clubs endorses the objections of the Inland Empire Public Lands
Council to the U.S. Forest Service Management Plan for the Idaho
Panhandle National Forest. |
