"THE
CAMPAIGN FOR PUGET SOUND" |
The inland marine waters
of the Puget Sound region are an irreplaceable recreational ecological
and economic resource. |
|
Pollution and development
activities by a growing human population threaten the future health of
Puget Sound and the Strait of Georgia. |
|
Leadership individual
awareness, enforcement of laws and regulations and a strong stewardship
ethic are essential to the maintenance and restoration for the sound
and strait. |
|
The Federation of
Western
Outdoor Clubs welcomes the establishment of "The Campaign for Puget
Sound" and wishes to join in the campaign, recognizing that we all
share a responsibility to protect our sound for future generations, and
urges all its affiliated clubs in the area to do likewise. |
