FUND
NONURBAN TRAILS AND RECREATION AT LEAST AT PREVIOUS LEVELS |
| There is a recent focus on
trails and recreation in large urban areas by State and Federal
programs. The terms urban forest and urban trails are used more
frequently. |

| In some cases funding for
non-urban trails and recreation has been cut considerably, including
national forest programs. |
|
| Many people from urban
areas benefit greatly from our heritage of non-urban trails and
recreation. |
|
| The Federation of
Western
Outdoor Clubs recommends non-urban trails and recreation be funded at
least at previous levels. Urban trails and recreation can be
funded with additional funds but not at the expense of existing
programs in non-urban areas. |
