1998 FWOC Resolution No. 10:

National Monument for Owyhee Canyonlands
|
|
The Owyhee Canyonlands in
Idaho, Oregon, and Nevada area among the most spectacular and remote
areas in the United States and are unique in their scenic and
environmental values. Because the military threatens to use
portions of the Canyonlands as a bombing range, they must be protected
as soon as possible. |

The Federation of Western
Outdoor Clubs re-affirms its 1995 Resolution #5 and asks President
Clinton to declare the Owyhee Canyonlands a National Monument. |

ACTION: The FWOC urges its member
clubs and members to call or write President Clinton immediately and
request that he declare the Owyhee Canyonlands a National Monument. |
