1998 RESOLUTIONS

1998 FWOC Resolution No. 21:
|
|
Molybdenum Mine on Tributary of Salmon River in
Idaho
|
|
World class fisheries on
Thompson and Squaw Creeks are threatened by acid mine tailings from the
proposed enlargement of operations at the Thompson Creek Mine.
The creeks flow into the Salmon River which also supports critically
important fisheries. The Federation of
Western
Outdoor Clubs believes that the proposal as presented does not provide
adequate protection for either the fishery or the River's and Creeks'
other outstanding values. |
