FEDERATION OF WESTERN OUTDOOR CLUBS

Resolution #21: Pelagic Birds in Puget Sound

Pelagic seabird numbers in Puget Sound are declining precipitously due to fishing nets (by-catch), recreational boating activities, and destruction of the marine ecosystem.
The Federation of Western Outdoor Clubs supports development of a plan by state and federal agencies to ensure healthy populations of these species.

ACTION: Write the Fish and Wildlife Department, 16018 Mill Creek Blvd., Mill Creek, WA 98012, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, (http://www.fws.gov), and the National Oceanography and Atmospheric Administration, 7600 Sand Point Way NE, Seattle, WA, 98115-6349.
