Resolution
#29: Discovery Park "500" Area
|
|
The "500" area of
Discovery Park, in Seattle, Washington, has been used by the Army
Reserve for many years. It is near the center of the 500 acre
Park. A new Army Reserve building has been built near the edge of
the Park. This opens the opportunity to add the approximately 9.5
acres to Discovery Park. |
|
The Federation of Western
Outdoor Clubs urges the U.S. Congress and the City of Seattle to
complete the transfer of the 500 area in Discovery Park to the City of
Seattle as soon as possible to continue the completion of this
extraordinary open space park. |
