THANKS TO THE CALIFORNIA ALPINE CLUB

The Federation of Western Outdoor Clubs extends its thanks to the California Alpine Club for the use of its Echo Summit Lodge at the Federation’s 2003 annual convention. It has been especially appropriate to meet in the Sierra Nevada near Lake Tahoe--the location of one of the crown jewels of our nations environment.

We appreciate the efforts of Winchell Hayward, the Hannums, the crew who cooked our meals, and the others who made the convention such a success. Members of the Federation of Western Outdoor Clubs who attended the convention have a much greater appreciation for the environmental and recreational attributes of the Sierra Nevada.
