ESTABLISHING A SOUND NATIONAL ENERGY POLICY

This nation needs to develop a comprehensive, national energy policy that is truly long-range, meets future needs and is not the product of special interests.  It should be the product, instead, of the best minds and technical experts who need to develop a rational, national energy policy in a completely open process.

Because petroleum resources are becoming more scarce and expensive, it is urgent that we turn to alternatives.  A sound national energy policy is needed to describe how that can be done.

The Federation of Western Outdoor Clubs calls for Congress to require that comprehensive national energy policy be immediately developed using the best scientific minds.
