FEDERATION OF WESTERN OUTDOOR CLUBS
WILDLIFE CORRIDORS IN COLORADO
1995 FWOC
Resolution
No. 10:
|
|
American Wildlands, a
non-profit conservation organization, has established a program called
"Corridors of Life." This important program will identify, map,
and evaluate the migration corridors that link populations of
wide-ranging wildlife; and also provide recommendations for the proper
management of the corridors. Implementation of "Corridors of
Life" will call for working with sportsmen's rod and gun clubs and
other conservation groups to ensure the recommendations are effective.
|
These approaches hold much
promise for making sure that the exceptional wildlife resources in the
Rockies, especially deer and elk, have access to the habitats they must
have to survive. Preserving these wildlife treasures will have
the support and the gratitude of the millions of those people who seek
out and harvest big game via legal hunting, and also the millions of
outdoor lovers who enjoy just seeing and watching wildlife.

Outdoor Clubs goes on record in support of the "Corridors of Life"
program of the American Wildlands. |
