RESOLUTION
#3: EXPANSION OF CRATERS OF THE MOON (Idaho Environmental Council,
Jerry Jayne)

| The Federation of Western Outdoor Clubs
supports the proposed expansion of Craters of the Moon National
Monument, subject to the following restrictions: withdrawal from
mineral entry, restriction of ORV use to designated routes, prohibition
of predator control, no hunting on lava flows. The Federation
supports the National Park Service's wilderness recommendation for the
two lava flows. |

| This expansion has been
endorsed by Secretary of the Interior, Bruce Babbitt, and should be
designated as soon as possible by President Clinton. |
