RESOLUTION
#6: BAN OFF-ROAD VEHICLE (ORV) USE ON ALL NATIONAL FOREST TRAILS
|
|
The Federation of Western Outdoor Clubs
urges the National Forest Service to ban ORV use on all National Forest
Trails. |
|
Off-road vehicles are
extremely noisy, their engines pollute the air, and their "disturbance"
severely affects wildlife and people. These vehicles should be
confined to roads. Trails should be reserved for non-motorized
activities such as hiking, horseback riding, and cross-country skiing. |
